Paul & Chris Sansone donate a car to a  family in need at our Annual Beauty & The Beach Run.

Traditionally, Beauty and The Beach Run™ is a 5-mile race for women, by women, on the New Jersey Shore coastline with beautiful scenic views of the beach. Beauty is exclusively for women and benefits Aslan Youth Ministries, a non-profit organization founded in 1975 and headquartered in Red Bank, NJ.

The course for the Beauty and the Beach Run has an official USA Track & Field Measurement Certificate. Click here for course map & route.

The event is held at Sandy Hook located in Highland, New Jersey, and features many amenities such as racing along the boardwalk with beautiful views.

In the past we hosted a highly-popular expo which featured many vendors for all our “beauties”: to shop and enjoy. It also featured pulse pumping fun music, a healthy breakfast, celebrity emcees, and an awards ceremony.   However, in 2020 the pandemic hit and we were unable to host our race. Everything shut down. We quickly converted our on-site race to a “virtual” option, where runners and walkers could still meet their health and wellness goals, but also support Aslan.  The virtual option turned out to be one of our most successful fundraising years for this event. All anyone had to do was register and then get as many friends or family to join them by giving on their own personal page.  The wonderful surprise of our virtual event last year was that our small band of runners & walkers raised more money for Aslan than ever before!

In 2021, we decided to bring back the virtual option, and also host the on-site race on September 2021 and in September 2022 we moved the on-site race to Sandy Hook.

Proceeds benefit Aslan programs serving urban youth in Monmouth County, NJ and their families.

Over 500 individuals regularly volunteer their time and talents to serve as mentors, tutors, youth class teachers, board members, coaches, office helpers, bus drivers, for Holiday gift programs and as Haiti volunteers.  Others provide valuable in-kind services in areas such as computer consulting, and pro bono legal assistance.

In addition, Aslan has a full-service operation in Haiti offering a Medical Clinic, educational sponsorship programs, sewing school, music school, and food program.  Aslan serves over 200 children and family services to several hundred families each year, by providing clean water (newly installed clean water pumps), food, medical care, and emergency services.
